Salary: USD 89,900 - 157,200 / annual
Twitch, the world's largest live streaming platform, is seeking a Tax Manager to join its growing tax team. You will report to the Senior Director, Head of Tax and work collaboratively with tax planning, tax operations, and compliance professionals to support Twitch's unique digital entertainment business.
In this role, you will analyze and document U.S. and international direct tax, indirect tax, and tax reporting impacts of Twitch projects, products, and business initiatives. You will manage relationships with outside counsel and external tax advisors on advisory requests and documentation for direct tax, indirect tax, and compliance matters. A key responsibility is educating business clients, tax team members, and cross-functional stakeholders—from junior to executive level—on tax issues and technical analysis. You will also socialize final tax requirements with internal teams including Legal, Accounting, Marketing, and Commerce.
You will work closely with Twitch's business, legal, and finance partners, as well as Amazon's broader digital business teams, to advise on important projects and coordinate tax positions across Amazon's digital portfolio. The role offers flexibility to work from multiple locations: Irvine, Los Angeles, or San Francisco (CA), New York (NY), or Seattle (WA).
REQUIREMENTS:
- CPA or JD (LLM, Master of Tax, or relevant tax practice experience)
- 3+ years of experience in Big 4, law firm, or equivalent in-house environment supporting multinational digital enterprises on tax planning
- Recent experience providing practical business-facing guidance on U.S. and/or non-U.S. tax issues for international digital businesses and digital products
- Familiarity with direct and indirect tax concepts including U.S. income tax, withholding tax, tax reporting, treaty permanent establishments, transfer pricing, U.S. SALT, non-U.S. VATs, DSTs, and non-U.S. reporting (e.g., DAC 7)
BONUS: Knowledge of Twitch, experience in entertainment/media, ads businesses, or social media platform businesses.
