Salary: USD 89,900 - 172,900 / annual
Twitch, the world's largest live streaming platform, is seeking a Tax Manager to join its growing tax team in Seattle, WA. You will report to the Senior Director, Head of Tax and work on US and international tax planning for Twitch's digital entertainment business.
In this role, you will analyze and document US and non-US direct tax, indirect tax, and tax reporting and compliance impacts of Twitch projects, programs, products, and initiatives. You will manage relationships with outside counsel and external tax advisors on advisory requests and documentation pertaining to direct tax, indirect tax, and tax reporting and compliance issues. A key responsibility is educating business clients, Twitch Tax team members, and cross-functional stakeholders (ranging from junior to executive level) regarding various tax issues and technical analysis and recommendations. You will also socialize final tax requirements with different Twitch internal teams, such as Legal, Accounting, Marketing, and Commerce.
You will collaborate closely with other members of the Twitch Tax team, including those in tax planning and tax operations/compliance functions. The team works closely with business, legal, and finance cross-functional partners from both Twitch and Amazon, advising on important Twitch projects, products, and initiatives, and coordinating key tax positions and analysis across Amazon's broader suite of digital businesses.
Work location flexibility: You can work in Irvine, CA; Los Angeles, CA; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA.
Requirements:
- CPA or JD (LLM, Master of Tax, or relevant tax practice experience)
- 3+ years of experience in a Big 4 firm, law firm, and/or equivalent in-house environment supporting multinational digital enterprises on tax planning
- Recent experience providing practical business-facing guidance regarding US and/or non-US tax issues pertaining to international digital businesses and digital products
- Familiarity with direct and indirect tax concepts, including US income tax, US withholding tax, US tax reporting, treaty PEs, transfer pricing, US SALT, and non-US VATs, DSTs, and non-US reporting (e.g., DAC 7)
