ICEYE, the world leader in sovereign intelligence from space, is seeking a Tax Manager to join its Group Tax team in Espoo, Finland. Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, you will be a key contributor to ICEYE's tax function as the company scales its Finance organization to match rapid global expansion.
You will serve as a practical expert in indirect taxation, advising on the indirect tax treatment of transactions, contracts, and new business models. Your responsibilities include monitoring changes in indirect tax legislation across relevant jurisdictions and assessing their impact on ICEYE's business and systems. You will support in identifying and documenting cross-border transaction flows to ensure correct characterization for both indirect tax and transfer pricing purposes, recognizing the interplay between the two.
Additionally, you will support indirect tax audits and inquiries, managing day-to-day relationships with tax authorities and external advisors. You will identify potential for and apply automation tools to scale VAT compliance, controlling and monitoring as the business grows. A key part of your role involves identifying, recommending, and implementing process improvements that strengthen controls and mitigate tax risk before it materializes.
As ICEYE's international footprint and tax function continue to grow, you will have the opportunity to build competence in corporate income tax and transfer pricing. You will support the Global Head of Tax on corporate income tax matters with room to grow into a broader role over time, contribute to transfer pricing documentation and intercompany arrangements as the group structure evolves, and support the tax aspects of new market entries, corporate structuring, and other cross-functional projects as needed. You will collaborate closely with different Finance teams and the business to ensure accurate tax treatment and timely information flow.

WORKPLACE: Hybrid (3 days per week on-site in Espoo). Employment is subject to applicable security screening, including SUPO where required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree in tax, law, accounting, or a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant tax experience, gained in a consulting firm, law firm, tax authority, or in-house tax function
- Strong, hands-on expertise in indirect taxation; experience with cross-border or multi-jurisdictional matters is an advantage
- Genuine interest in and willingness to expand expertise into corporate income tax and transfer pricing
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Genuine interest in how the business operates
- Pragmatic, hands-on approach, able to translate complex tax rules into clear, actionable guidance for non-tax colleagues and business representatives
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, international, and evolving environment
- Works well across teams and is comfortable seeking input from more senior colleagues
