Wildlife Studios, a leading mobile game developer and publisher, is seeking a Tax Analyst to join its Finance team in São Paulo. This role owns Brazilian tax law and controversy end-to-end, addressing a bottleneck in the company's tax consultancy, litigation, and audit-defense work.
You will lead internal tax consultancy on Brazilian legislation, answering the business's questions on indirect and direct taxes and producing defensible technical positions. You'll own the tax litigation portfolio (administrative and judicial), building technical theses, drafting and coordinating appeals and resources with external counsel, and deciding where disputes are best resolved—administratively, in court, or through settlement programs.
Key responsibilities include running tax audits from initial notice through outcome, managing auditor relationships, and protecting the company's position. You'll support judicial expert examinations and technical expert reviews, classify and defend tax contingencies with external counsel, and identify recovery and incentive opportunities including credits, refunds, and planning positions with quantified impact.
You'll translate tax into business language, writing memos and updates that non-specialists can act on, flagging emerging legislation and case law early. The role includes a clear growth path into international scope: cross-border restructuring projects, international tax legislation, and transfer pricing on live transactions.
Required: law degree, fluent English, solid command of Brazilian tax legislation, hands-on experience in tax controversy (judicial proceedings, administrative litigation, audits), execution and ownership mindset, structured problem-solving, clear communication, analytical reasoning, and strong time management. Nice-to-have skills include law firm experience, international tax knowledge, corporate restructuring and M&A experience, transfer pricing expertise, and comfort with AI tools.
