Numeric is a modern accounting and finance platform built to solve the data and automation challenges facing accountants and finance teams. The company has strong product-market fit with customers including Anthropic, Brex, OpenAI, and Plaid, and is backed by top-tier investors including IVP, Menlo Ventures, and Founders Fund.
As Talent & Operations Coordinator, you will be the first real impression candidates have of Numeric and a key driver of culture as the company scales. This is a dual-focus role split between talent operations (70%) and NYC office/workplace operations (30%).
Talent Operations responsibilities include: owning interview scheduling and logistics across multiple roles and interviewers, including complex multi-stage in-person loops; managing candidate communication and experience end-to-end (confirmations, reminders, feedback loops); leading reporting and pipeline analysis for the talent team; helping shape and refine recruiting workflows as the team scales; supporting offer logistics, reference checks, and new-hire paperwork; and maintaining ATS hygiene in Ashby with accurate candidate records, stages, and notes.
Workplace & Culture responsibilities include: owning day-to-day NYC office operations (stocking, supplies, vendor coordination, facilities); planning and executing in-office events, team lunches, and culture moments; serving as the on-the-ground partner to the SF-based People Ops/Office Manager; helping shape and protect team culture as headcount grows through onboarding, recognition, and traditions; and serving as a go-to point of contact for NYC employees on office and logistics questions.
Numeric's culture emphasizes ownership of outcomes, daily execution ("Brick by Brick"), deep care for craft, earning trust through quality, and first-principles thinking ("SALY" — refusing to accept "Same As Last Year").
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1–3 years in recruiting coordination, people ops, HR admin, and/or office management (full-time or internship experience)
- Strong organizational skills and comfort context-switching between detail-heavy scheduling and people-facing culture work
- Experience displaying discretion with sensitive candidate/employee information
- NYC-based, in-office 5 days/week
NICE TO HAVES:
- ATS experience (Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, or similar)
- Startup experience where roles are fluid and you built processes yourself
- Interest in growing into a broader People Ops or Talent role over time
