Preply is a unicorn edtech platform (Series D, $150M) that connects 100,000+ tutors teaching 90+ languages to learners in 180 countries. The company is scaling rapidly with a human-led, AI-enhanced learning model.
You will join Preply's high-performing Talent Acquisition team as a Talent Acquisition Partner focused on Tech & Product hiring. This is a strategic, senior individual contributor role—not a people manager, but a credible advisor and expert partner to product, design, and engineering leaders.
Key responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end hiring for Product, Design, and related Tech roles, partnering closely with function leaders
- Act as a talent advisor: guide hiring managers on strategy, market talent profiles, and decision-making quality
- Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter and other tools; adapt approach as priorities shift
- Champion structured, evidence-based hiring: apply scorecards rigorously, contribute to calibration, drive consistency and quality
- Tell the Preply story compellingly, leveraging product and business understanding to attract top talent
- Use data to drive decisions: track funnel metrics (conversion, time-in-stage, source of hire), diagnose quality drops, adjust approach
- Spot and fix process gaps; bring actionable suggestions for improvement
- Support Engineering hiring when priorities require it; maintain credible conversations with technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with Employer Branding on visibility and attraction for Tech & Product roles
You will work from Barcelona and report into the TA leadership team. The role demands independence, judgment, and a genuine care for hiring quality—not just requisition fulfillment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years of recruiting experience with meaningful exposure to Product and/or Design hiring alongside Tech
- Proven experience hiring Tech, Product, and Design talent in fast-paced, product-led tech environments
- Strong in-house recruiting experience: deep knowledge of process, systems, and stakeholder engagement
- Strong TA craft: candidate experience focus, genuine search execution, willingness to challenge assumptions and raise the bar
- Data-driven mindset: ability to use metrics to explain decisions, influence hiring managers, and catch problems early
- Solid understanding of Product and Design craft and how hiring needs shift as functions scale
- Strong communication and stakeholder management: influence with confidence and care, partner effectively with leaders
- Growth mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, curious, energized by solving hiring challenges
- Team-first, low-ego approach: collaborative, generous with knowledge, motivated by raising the bar for Tech & Product hiring
- Fluency in English and readiness to work from Barcelona
