iLoF is an AI-powered personalized medicine platform recognized by CB Insights and Financial Times as one of the most promising digital health companies globally. The company is building technology to democratize access to precision medicine, with a focus on Alzheimer's and other complex diseases.
You will serve as a hybrid Talent Acquisition & Operations Specialist, balancing full-cycle recruiting with operational and administrative responsibilities across a multi-country, multidisciplinary team spanning photonics, AI/ML, regulatory, clinical, and business development functions.
**Recruiting & Sourcing Responsibilities:**
- Run full-cycle recruitment across science, engineering, regulatory, clinical, and business functions
- Proactively source and headhunt passive candidates for hard-to-fill specialist roles (photonics/optics, AI/ML, regulatory affairs, clinical operations)
- Build and maintain talent pipelines and market maps for priority hiring areas
- Design and execute structured, candidate-friendly interview processes in collaboration with hiring managers
- Partner with executive leadership and function leads to translate hiring needs into clear role scopes and interview plans
- Represent iLoF's culture and mission credibly to candidates as their first touchpoint
**Operations Responsibilities:**
- Manage procurement platforms for lab consumables, equipment, and office/operational supplies; source suppliers, compare quotes, place and track orders
- Coordinate invoicing platforms and related administrative functions; process supplier invoices, track payments, and liaise with finance/accounting
- Own general administrative tasks supporting Portugal and UK teams, including document management and logistics coordination
- Help establish and improve operational processes as the company scales
- Take on ad hoc operational and administrative projects inherent to a scaling, multi-country deep-tech organization
The role requires comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and building processes from scratch in a startup environment. You'll work across a team of scientists, entrepreneurs, and inventors based in Oxford and Porto.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience in recruiting/talent acquisition, ideally including headhunting for hard-to-source or specialist roles
- Mandatory: comfortable working with AI tools day-to-day; should naturally integrate AI into your workflow and specifically apply it to hiring (sourcing, screening, outreach drafting, market mapping)
- Startup experience: comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and building process rather than inheriting it
- Strong plus: experience or genuine interest in medtech, biotech, or deep-tech hiring (no science background required, but ability to have substantive conversations with photonics engineers or regulatory leads about candidate strength)
- Operator's mindset: equally comfortable sourcing candidates on LinkedIn, chasing supplier quotes, or reconciling invoices
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- High ownership and follow-through
