Legora is an AI-native legal workspace company serving 2,100+ customers across 80+ countries, including top-tier law firms and enterprises. The company has scaled to $200M+ ARR and is expanding rapidly across Europe, North America, and APAC through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
You will lead and build Legora's talent acquisition function across Asia Pacific, based in Sydney. Reporting to the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition in New York, you'll own regional hiring delivery while connecting global TA priorities with local market needs across Australia, North Asia, and Southeast Asia.
Key responsibilities include:
• Lead and develop a growing TA team, setting priorities, balancing workloads, and coaching on sourcing, closing, and stakeholder management. Build a culture of ownership and candid feedback.
• Deliver hiring with pace by translating approved hiring plans into clear regional priorities and milestones across functions and markets. Personally manage complex searches from intake to offer, maintain pipeline momentum, and ensure timely feedback cycles.
• Strengthen recruiting execution through direct sourcing, referrals, and talent pipelines. Own APAC agency and RPO partnerships, using data to identify bottlenecks and optimize sourcing channels.
• Partner with People leaders and hiring managers on workforce planning, helping define realistic role outcomes and candidate profiles. Bring market insight across multiple APAC regions and adapt global standards to local employment contexts and languages.
• Raise hiring quality by equipping interviewers with evidence-based decision-making frameworks, challenging unclear requirements, and building inclusive sourcing practices. Ensure respectful candidate communication and continuously improve based on feedback.
• Work flexibly across APAC time zones with occasional regional travel.
Requirements:
• Strong track record in in-house talent acquisition at a growing SaaS or tech company, ideally VC-backed.
• Experience leading and developing TA teams while remaining hands-on with delivery.
• Proven ability to hire across sales, technical, and corporate functions at consistent quality standards, including navigating difficult searches by changing approach rather than lowering standards.
• Experience recruiting across multiple APAC markets (Australia, North Asia, Southeast Asia) with ability to adapt to local contexts. Language skills beyond English are a strong plus.
• Excellent sourcing and engagement skills, including ability to engage passive candidates.
• Track record of improving recruiting execution and managing budgets effectively, including strategic use of local agencies and RPO partners.
• Confidence to constructively challenge hiring managers and facilitate quick, sound decisions.
• Sharp operational judgment to prioritize competing needs, diagnose stalled searches, and convert problems into clear next steps.
• Collaborative style with genuine interest in helping others succeed.
