Nutanix is seeking a Systems Reliability Engineer II to support its cloud infrastructure solution and ensure successful product experiences for customers leveraging the private cloud platform. You will work directly with customers to troubleshoot, debug, reproduce, and resolve complex technical issues in production environments. You'll collaborate closely with the development team to identify product defects and improvement opportunities, participate in incident management and root cause analysis (RCA) for critical issues, and help scale deployments through tooling and automation. Your contributions will directly improve product serviceability by testing new features and developing infrastructure to support customer success at scale. The role involves analyzing the existing customer base to identify and mitigate risks, defining product improvements based on customer feedback and partner implementations, and collaborating with technology partners (VMware, Citrix, Microsoft, AWS) to resolve ecosystem issues. You'll develop and maintain internal and external knowledge bases, driving continuous improvement across the organization. Support responsibilities include weekday coverage and scheduled rotational off-hours availability. You'll be part of a team of experienced engineers from leading virtualization, compute, and networking companies. The team works as customers' champions, partnering with Sales and Software Engineering to deliver exceptional support and product experiences. REQUIREMENTS: - Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience - Professional expertise in troubleshooting at least two of the following: Virtualization (preferably VMware ESXi), Networking (preferably layer 2/3), Linux Systems (preferably CLI administration), DevOps, Cloud, or Enterprise Storage - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with geographically distributed teams and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Customer-obsessed mindset with passion for delivering high-quality support experiences - Degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred - Fluent proficiency in English
