Fortinet, a cybersecurity pioneer with over two decades of excellence, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its pre-sales engineering team in Prague. This role is central to the sales cycle, requiring you to lead all technical aspects from initial RFIs through RFPs, RFQs, and proof-of-concept (POC) delivery in partnership with internal teams and customers.
You will serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners, working closely with sales teams to understand technical requirements, build differentiated solutions, and position Fortinet's cybersecurity offerings against competitors. Responsibilities include managing multiple concurrent deals, maintaining accurate customer and prospect information in Salesforce, and delivering technical presentations via whiteboarding, technical white papers, and customer discussions.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead technical aspects of sales cycles from RFI through closure
- Manage and actively participate in POCs
- Understand and translate customer technical requirements into solutions
- Serve as primary technical liaison between customers, partners, and internal teams
- Maintain deep knowledge of Fortinet products, solutions, and competitive landscape
- Present and position solutions to customers remotely and in person
- Manage multiple deals simultaneously while ensuring positive customer experience
- Maintain accurate CRM records in Salesforce
Requirements:
- High aptitude for security technology, specifically encryption and authentication
- Desirable: knowledge of network security, intrusion detection, anti-virus, routing, switching, LAN/WAN
- Desirable: CISSP accreditation
- Current or previous experience in a pre-sales engineer role managing end-to-end technical aspects of deals through closure
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with measurable impact on key wins
- Ability to build and maintain customer relationships with strong technical communication skills across internal and external stakeholders
- Strong understanding of RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES
