Salary: USD 121,000 - 145,000 / annual
Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America, combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing to help aerospace and defense companies build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and other mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost. The company recently closed a $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation and is rapidly expanding manufacturing capabilities and scaling its Factory-as-a-Service platform.
As an IT Systems Administrator at the Torrance HQ, you will balance three core responsibilities: writing automation, running AV for company events, and handling escalated service desk work. You will be equally comfortable in a code editor, managing live events, and solving complex technical tickets.
AV Responsibilities:
- Manage the Microsoft Teams environment day to day, with focus on GCC High tenant configuration and security.
- Configure, set up, document, and run GCC High Teams meetings for all-hands, large team meetings, podcasts, and company events.
- Run live AV hands-on for major company events, ensuring flawless execution.
- Own break-fix for conference rooms, including Logitech, Crestron, Q-SYS, and similar equipment.
- Spec, procure, and stand up new conference rooms, working with vendors to deliver fully functional spaces.
IT & Automation Responsibilities:
- Build automation with AI chatbots such as Serval, integrating them into real systems to deflect manual work.
- Write code in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages to integrate systems and eliminate manual processes.
- Own ITSM workflows and integrations, tuning queues, forms, and automations to improve service desk velocity.
- Serve as an escalation point for the service desk, picking up hard tickets, identifying root causes, and documenting solutions.
- Partner with Security, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams on systems you maintain.
You will work on-site at the Torrance, CA HQ with some travel required. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move AV gear, racks, and hardware as needed.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in IT with hands-on experience as both a systems administrator and AV owner.
- Hands-on live AV production experience; you have run all-hands, large team meetings, or podcasts end to end.
- Deep experience with Microsoft Teams; GCC High experience is a plus. Working experience with Zoom, Google Meet, or other platforms is welcome.
- Comfort with conference room gear (Logitech, Crestron, Q-SYS, and similar); able to troubleshoot without manuals.
- Strong scripting or coding skills in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar.
- Working knowledge of ITSM platforms and ITSM automation; you have built or tuned real workflows.
- Experience building automations or chatbot flows with tools like Serval, Moveworks, or similar.
- Comfort integrating systems through APIs, webhooks, and SDKs.
- Ability to serve as an escalation point, finding root causes and coaching teams through solutions.
- Clear writing and calm communication skills; able to brief executives, hand off to other technicians, and write clean runbooks.
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent resident status, or eligible to obtain ITAR authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree or coursework in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Prior software engineering work, even at small scale.
- Experience running IT or AV inside Microsoft GCC High or other government cloud tenants.
- AV certifications such as Crestron CTS, AVIXA CTS or CTS-I, Q-SYS Level 1/2, Dante Level 1/2, or Shure.
- Live streaming and broadcast experience with OBS, vMix, Wirecast, ATEM, or similar switchers and encoders.
- Networking depth in VLANs, QoS for voice and video, VPN, or Wi-Fi in campus settings.
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST 800-171, or CMMC.
