The Supply Chain Manager will own procurement and supplier management in a fast-paced, schedule-driven New Product Introduction (NPI) environment. This role reports directly to the Head of Supply Chain and requires someone comfortable with partial information, quick decision-making, and immovable hardware bring-up dates.
Key responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms, managing purchase orders and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) with engineering teams, expediting deliveries to clear shortages, and protecting integration timelines. The role involves daily execution to reduce total cost, lead time, and risk while maintaining strong vendor relationships and tracking on-time delivery metrics.
You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams, follow POs through delivery and payment cycles, monitor inventory levels, and build supply chain processes and structure in a startup environment. Success requires strong execution under pressure, reliable follow-through, clear communication, and good judgment in escalating issues early.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years of sourcing, procurement, or related experience, preferably in a startup. Experience in consumer, mobility, or medical device industries is a bonus, as is expertise in motor/mechanical supply chains, purchase-price variance reduction, and advanced cost modeling.
