Scarlet is a medical device certification and assessment company that uses AI agents and software to accelerate regulatory approval timelines for innovative medical technologies. As the first Assessment Delivery Optimisation hire, you will own the operational infrastructure that plans, prioritises, and deploys assessment resources across Scarlet's growing customer portfolio.
You will solve a complex global scheduling and resource allocation problem. Scarlet's assessment experts are distributed worldwide, many work part-time or as contractors, and some customer assessments must occur in person. You will build systems that match each assessment with the right expertise, location, and timing to keep certifications moving efficiently.
Key responsibilities include: forecasting assessment resource needs across different expertise types to align hiring and onboarding plans; designing and optimizing how assessment experts are allocated to work; owning scheduling and prioritization tools that track evaluator availability, customer availability, and qualification status across regulatory frameworks; and partnering with product, engineering, and ML teams to automate large-scale assessment operations.
You will combine operational judgment, data modelling, and AI to build planning and deployment systems that keep every assessment on track, from demand forecasting to real-time portfolio prioritization. Your work directly impacts how quickly safe medical devices reach patients who need them.
Required: production forecasting, optimization, or scheduling system experience; data modelling and analytics skills for operational decision-making; experience using AI to improve workflows and evaluating reliability; cross-functional leadership experience; and ability to explain complex operational decisions clearly. Preferred: logistics-heavy service delivery optimization experience; regulatory or certification constraint system design; AI agents for operational workflows.
