Isar Aerospace, a fast-growing New Space company building sustainable launch solutions for small and medium-sized satellites, is seeking a Supply Chain Management Specialist to manage transport logistics and optimize goods movement across national and international locations.
In this role, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods and materials. You will schedule timely transportation services, monitor shipments, and select appropriate means of transport (land, sea, air freight) while arranging logistics with carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders. You will negotiate contract terms with drivers and vendors to secure favorable agreements, generate and administer detailed transportation documents and invoices, and ensure full traceability and audit compliance.
You will track transportation budgets and expenses, maintain cost targets, and monitor service provider performance. You will develop, implement, and maintain transportation policies and procedures in compliance with industry regulations, plant standards, and shipping requirements. Your responsibilities include establishing priorities, tracking assignments, ensuring resource availability, and maintaining schedules and deadlines for all transport activities. You will collaborate closely with loading and warehouse personnel, internal stakeholders, and external partners to optimize logistics processes and meet shipment goals.
This role directly supports Isar Aerospace's mission to democratize space access and provide faster, better, and cheaper launch solutions through efficient supply chain operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- Proven experience in transport organization, logistics, or freight purchasing (national and international)
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and industry standards (land, sea, and air freight)
- Experience with contract negotiation and vendor management
- Solid knowledge of customs procedures, export/import (exim) processes, export control regulations, and handling of dangerous goods
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and cost optimization focus
- Effective communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
- Problem-solving skills and proactive, solution-oriented approach

- Proficiency in logistics and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
- German language skills
