You will join the Procurement team as Supply Chain Lead, reporting to the Head of Procurement & Inventory. This is a "build from scratch" opportunity to architect the operational procurement function for the non-horticultural range (fresh-baked goods, luxury hamper components, home and lifestyle products, and packaging). You will lead a team of stock planners and shape scalable systems to support rapid business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
• Build and scale the non-horticultural stock planning strategy, turning rapid business growth into a sophisticated, high-performing operational machine
• Lead the team to ensure optimal stock levels across all sites, balancing high availability with waste minimization and cost efficiency
• Develop and automate supply chain and inventory tools, building AI workflows to eliminate manual data entry and calculation tasks
• Develop standardized processes and frameworks, leading weekly KPI reviews to shift from reactive problem-solving to proactive inventory and risk management
• Provide oversight, coaching, and mentorship to stock planners, transitioning them from manual execution to analytical decision-making
• De-risk new product launches by ensuring operational infrastructure can handle increased SKU counts; collaborate with commercial teams on right-size inventory levels
• Support operational execution during peak periods and when issues arise
• Measure and manage third-party warehouse (3PW) partner performance against SLA terms
• Build internal operational performance reporting and supplier tiering; implement initiatives to improve supplier performance
The role offers flexibility in working arrangements, with some teams working in-office daily and others connecting quarterly in person. You'll work in a B Corp-certified company with a strong culture of inclusion, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or supply planning roles with proven team leadership
• Demonstrated track record in supply chain scalability, managing exponential SKU growth through technology and automation
• Tech-savvy and systems-oriented with strong capabilities in building automated tools using G-Suite and other platforms; experience leveraging AI
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills; ability to coach team members and foster a performance culture centered on accountability and ownership
• Continuous improvement mindset; ability to identify system limitations and establish feedback loops for resolution and automation
• Proactive and hands-on approach; willingness to be a direct contributor, roll up sleeves to understand operational tasks, and cover gaps during peak periods
• Commercially and data-driven mindset; motivated by protecting margins, eliminating P&L leakage from manual errors, and optimizing working capital and cash flow
