Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Imaging team develops state-of-the-art imaging systems leveraging computer vision, perception, electro-optical, infrared, and sensor data for military applications.
As a Supplier Development Engineer, you will drive strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril Imaging's electronics across their product lifecycles. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams while managing supplier relationships.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing electrical BOMs, component risk assessments, and alternate component sourcing paths across product lines
- Identifying and mitigating supply-chain lead-time and sourcing risks, particularly for PCBA components
- Ensuring scalability of electronics sourcing strategy as multiple product lines scale to full production
- Conducting supplier selection and managing/expanding the approved supplier list
- Working closely with suppliers on technical inquiries and consulting with design engineering as needed
- Collaborating with quality teams to ensure AS9100 compliance for production electronics builds
- Coordinating with manufacturing to ensure proper release and transmission of technical data packages within PLM and ERP systems
- Streamlining PCBA procurement processes in coordination with Anduril HQ's commodity team
Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field; 8+ years in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement/development, or electronics design; domain expertise in value/procurement engineering at component and product levels; ability to travel 10-25% for vendor visits; ability to obtain and maintain U.S. secret clearance.
Preferred: Master's degree; experience sourcing PCBs and subcomponents with PCBA fabrication/assembly knowledge; familiarity with IPC and J-STD quality standards; experience in high-tech rapid low-rate production environments; startup experience.
