AppDirect is seeking a Tax Supervisor to build and lead the tax function within a multinational organization. You will take ownership of tax compliance and strategy across Canadian, US, and international operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and manage Canadian corporate income tax returns for the group
- Support US and international tax advisors on non-Canadian entity filings
- Prepare global tax provisions and indirect tax declarations
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and analyze consequences of new laws affecting cross-border activities
- Develop and implement internal tax compliance processes and file management systems
- Coordinate with tax authorities on inquiries, audits, assessments, and disputes
- Ensure tax compliance through internal controls and recommend risk-reduction measures
- Support tax due diligence for M&A and other transactions
- Provide supervisory oversight of assigned tax processes
- Maintain tax documentation and internal policies
You bring 3–5 years of relevant tax experience with strong Canadian corporate tax knowledge. A bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, business, or administration is required; CPA designation is a plus. You're intellectually curious, eager to deepen expertise in US and international tax, and comfortable in collaborative environments. You're organized, self-motivated, and take initiative to solve complex problems and improve processes. Experience or willingness to learn US and international tax is valued; the company provides mentorship and training for development.
