Radiant is a nuclear technology startup building portable, mass-produced microreactors (Kaleidos: 1-megawatt, fail-safe units deployable for 5+ years without refueling). The company is scaling manufacturing and capital programs to support initial customer deliveries in 2028.
As Structured Finance Manager, you will design and execute the company's Investment Tax Credit (ITC) monetization strategy, govern compliance obligations, and provide financial structuring analysis on major contracts and capital transactions. This is a high-visibility individual-contributor role reporting to the VP of Finance, with the mandate to scale into a broader structured finance function as Radiant's capital program grows.
Key responsibilities include: structuring ITC elections and monetization pathways in coordination with tax and legal advisors; optimizing bonus adders and ensuring credit eligibility ahead of phase-downs; building and maintaining documentation infrastructure for IRS, lender, and tax equity diligence; owning recurring reporting obligations (Treasury/IRS filings, transferability registration, investor/lender reporting); monitoring recapture risk across compliance periods; coordinating with EPC contractors, auditors, Legal, and Accounting to embed compliance into contracts upfront.
You will also map structured financing options, lead or support negotiations with lenders and financial partners, track and report on structured financial products, and provide financial structuring analysis on government and commercial contracts—including deal economics, financing implications, and multi-entity considerations. You'll advise on government contracting structures as they relate to capital deployment and financing, and support liability structuring across Radiant's multi-entity architecture.
Required: 8+ years in structured finance, project finance, tax equity, or related capital markets; experience in manufacturing, energy, or capital-intensive infrastructure strongly preferred. Bachelor's in finance, accounting, economics, or related field (MBA a plus). Direct experience with ITC or similar tax credit monetization structures. Debt covenant governance and lender/investor reporting experience. Familiarity with government contracting structures. Strong financial modeling skills. Must be willing to work extended hours/weekends and work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ.
Radiant offers substantial equity, comprehensive health benefits (medical, vision, dental), 8 weeks paid parental leave, daily catered lunch, flexible PTO, and a collaborative culture near the Pacific Ocean.
