Eucalyptus, now part of Hims & Hers, is building the world's leading international consumer health platform. The company operates Juniper, one of the world's largest weight-management programs combining GLP-1 medication with personalized nutrition, movement support, and clinician-led care. Currently serving patients across five markets (UK, Australia, Germany, Japan, and Canada), Eucalyptus has received selective NICE endorsement for NHS services.
International expansion is the top priority following the Hims & Hers acquisition. The international expansion team owns everything from evaluating new market entry through launching and scaling within markets. This role is part of that core team and involves high autonomy, fast execution, and accountability to outcomes.
The Strategy & Operations Manager will own one of three expansion phases, with potential to move across all three as the business grows:
1. **Market Selection**: Conduct full due diligence on new markets—competitive landscape, regulatory environment, commercial sizing, pharmacy infrastructure, pharma partnerships. Meet with market experts, pharmacy partners, and pharma companies to synthesize findings into an investment thesis for go/no-go decisions.
2. **Market Launch**: End-to-end ownership of market launches from first local hire to first patient acquired. Navigate unfamiliar systems, tools, and regulatory environments. Build local teams, secure first pharmacy partnerships, and manage complex cross-functional workstreams to world-class standards.
3. **Market Scaling**: Own the P&L for launched markets. Run experiments to improve funnels, make data-driven bets, build systems for team autonomy, hire and develop local talent, hold teams accountable to OKRs, and identify next growth opportunities.
You will report to Alejandro Ugarte Limer (Head of International Expansion) and work closely with the VP International, Interim GM Canada, and other senior operators on the international team.
**Requirements:**
- 5–10 years of experience in high-pressure environments (law, consulting with MBB preference, investment banking) OR 3+ years as an operator in a recent high-growth startup. Experience across both areas is highly valued.
- Commercial modeling: ability to build models from scratch, make assumptions explicit, and defend them.
- Business understanding & due diligence: quickly grasp market success factors, unit economics, and comparative market analysis; frame research and produce clear go/no-go recommendations.
- Independent market research capability producing clear, structured answers.
- Real commercial negotiation experience with partners, suppliers, and pharma companies.
- Complex cross-functional project management with accountability.
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to write investment theses and clear slide decks.
- Founder mindset: operate with ownership, resilience, and bias toward action; fix problems without waiting for others.
- Nice to have: comfort with data and SQL; ability to write queries, build dashboards, and stress-test assumptions independently.
