The company offers an integrated curriculum, teacher training, assessment, and intervention system grounded in mathematics education research and neuroscience. InnovaMat was the first non-American organization to pass California State Board of Education adoption for a core math curriculum. The Strategy Lead role sits at the intersection of strategy, commercial growth, and execution, based in Los Angeles with approximately 50% travel. You will work closely with the General Manager on strategic priorities while maintaining close market engagement—building relationships with district leaders, owning territory strategy, shaping go-to-market motion, and identifying expansion opportunities. Key Responsibilities: • Build meaningful partnerships with district leaders, educators, and key stakeholders across Southern California; understand district priorities and identify value creation opportunities for Innovamat; represent the company at conferences and within the education ecosystem. • Develop and execute a market-building approach for Southern California; identify priority districts and communities for greatest impact; lead partnerships from initial conversations through pilots, implementation, and long-term collaboration. • Support strategic projects and market initiatives with the General Manager; bring market insights to shape growth approach, messaging, and go-to-market model; identify opportunities for improvement. • Establish foundations for Southern California growth; contribute to hiring, team development, and eventual local team leadership; help build the playbook for expanding the partnership model into new markets. This is a ground-up building opportunity with the chance to develop an ecosystem network, shape market approach, and eventually lead a growing team while seeing direct impact on schools and educators. Requirements: • Experience in high-performing, fast-paced environments such as consulting, investment banking, tech, startups, education, or entrepreneurial settings. • Experience working with senior stakeholders, building partnerships, or developing new markets is a plus. • Track record of taking ownership and making things happen. • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills. • Strategic and structured thinking with ability to execute and roll up sleeves. • Strong ability to navigate ambiguity and build from scratch. • Curious and thoughtful; able to understand complex organizations and decision-making processes. • High ownership mindset; entrepreneurial orientation; relationship-driven; mission-driven focus on improving education.
