Sierra is building a platform that helps businesses create better, more human customer experiences with AI. The company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices across major global cities including Atlanta, New York, London, Paris, Madrid, Munich, Singapore, Tokyo, and Sydney.
As a Strategist in Agent Development for Financial Services, you will own the complete lifecycle of AI agent development for Sierra's enterprise customers in banking, insurance, and fintech. You'll work at the intersection of product, engineering, and customer success, translating complex business problems into production-grade AI agents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own the agent development lifecycle from initial scoping through conversation design, tooling, evaluation, launch, and continuous production iteration. You have real autonomy over outcomes and drive agents to outperform baseline performance.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to enterprise executives at systemically important banks, neobanks, insurers, and vertically integrated financial ecosystems. Understand their business goals and shape AI strategies that deliver measurable impact.
- Partner daily with customer teams to run working sessions, troubleshoot agents in real-time, and make decisions that keep projects on track for launch.
- Directly influence product direction by surfacing unmet customer needs and feeding insights back to Sierra's research and platform teams.
Recent projects include launching subscription-retention agents that outperform human teams, building end-to-end device troubleshooting agents with personalization, redesigning conversation flows for complex regulated financial interactions, and defining evaluation metrics that drive measurable weekly improvements.
You bring customer obsession and genuine energy for understanding enterprise needs in complex organizations. You communicate clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders, solve strategic problems in ambiguity, and have technical aptitude to engage with APIs, data models, and system architecture. You have a track record of running multiple high-visibility projects simultaneously and driving them to completion. Experience in financial services, fintech implementations, or familiarity with financial services compliance (fair lending, PII handling) is valued.
