OpenAI is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Manager based in Paris to own business development and partnership strategy for the French market, with contributions to broader EMEA and international priorities. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on identifying, developing, and executing partnership strategies that accelerate adoption of OpenAI's products across enterprise, developer, and consumer channels. You will manage relationships with strategic partners in France and on cross-border opportunities, ranging from global technology platforms to regional champions, including enterprise software vendors, telcos, cloud providers, and government-aligned organizations. The role requires deep cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, GTM, Legal, and Policy teams. While accountable for France, you must be ready to take on other markets, verticals, or partnership types as team priorities evolve. Key responsibilities include: - Owning partnership strategy and execution for France, driving end-to-end partnership development and delivery while contributing to broader EMEA and international priorities - Negotiating and closing strategic local and cross-border deals across commercial terms, product scope, data/privacy, brand/marketing, incentives, and expansion paths - Leading senior partner relationships by building trust, aligning on joint value propositions, and managing complexity - Partnering closely with Product, Engineering, GTM, Legal, Policy, and regional counterparts to align roadmaps, navigate constraints, and execute initiatives - Bringing deep knowledge of France and informed perspective on country and sub-region differences across EMEA to inform prioritization, positioning, and partner selection - Defining success metrics and using analytical judgment to assess progress, surface risks, and communicate outcomes to internal stakeholders The role is based in Paris with 3 days per week required in the office. Requirements: - 10+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, product partnerships, business development, or general management within the technology industry - Fluency in English and French - Demonstrated success leading high-impact local and international partnerships involving major technology partners, including complex cross-border work - Deep understanding of France combined with experience operating across multiple countries and international markets - Product-savvy with ability to engage technical stakeholders credibly and influence product direction and roadmap tradeoffs - Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presence - Strong analytical instincts and comfort using data to inform decisions and communicate impact - Ability to thrive in fast-paced, highly ambiguous environments, operate both independently and collaboratively, and adapt quickly across changing markets, verticals, and partnership types
