Cardless is building infrastructure that enables leading companies (like Coinbase and Bilt) to design, build, and launch their own branded financial products. The company handles lending, compliance, and operations behind the scenes while partners focus on customer experience. Cardless raised $60M in Series C funding (September 2025, led by Spark Capital) and is scaling toward profitability by end of 2026. In this role, you will own day-to-day relationships with issuing bank partners and drive new co-brand card programs from signed deal through live launch. You sit at the center of Cardless's most critical relationships—the banks that ultimately issue every card program the company builds. Key responsibilities include: - Serve as primary point of contact for bank partners (e.g., First Electronic Bank, Column N.A.), managing program status, open issues, and escalations - Proactively communicate risk, delays, and open items to bank partners rather than allowing surprises - Lead or support new program launches end-to-end: kickoff coordination, partner-facing materials, legal/compliance milestone tracking, and launch timeline alignment - Translate internal workstreams (Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering) into clear, partner-ready updates - Build and maintain trackers, status reports, and governance cadences (e.g., regular check-ins, steering committees) - Represent Cardless in partner meetings with senior bank stakeholders and prepare internal teams for those conversations - Identify and resolve friction points on rewards, payments, disputes, and program mechanics before escalation - Support due diligence and onboarding for new bank and brand partners as the portfolio grows This role requires comfort operating in a regulated, high-stakes environment, translating between technical/compliance detail and partner-facing narrative, and taking ownership over how Cardless engages with its banking partners. REQUIREMENTS: - 10+ years of experience in partnerships, account management, program management, or related client-facing role—ideally in fintech, banking, or another regulated industry - Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder relationships balancing technical, legal, and business considerations - Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill complicated cross-functional work into clear partner updates - Bias toward proactive communication; preference for early risk escalation over partner surprises - Experience working cross-functionally with compliance, legal, product, and engineering teams - Comfort operating in ambiguity and building process where none exists - Based in or willing to work on-site in San Francisco BONUS: - Experience with card issuing, co-brand credit card programs, or direct work with issuing banks - Familiarity with regulatory considerations shaping bank/fintech partnerships (third-party risk management, program governance) - Experience launching a new product or program from contract signing through go-live
