Cloudsmith is the world's most powerful artifact management platform, enabling software organizations to control and secure their software supply chains. The company supports over 30 formats and serves enterprise customers who rely on Cloudsmith as critical infrastructure for their software build chains.
You'll join Cloudsmith's brand-new Global Strategic Accounts pod as its first hire, reporting directly to the Head of Global Strategic Accounts. This role is designed for a senior SDR, BDR, or ISR ready to specialize in named-account, enterprise-focused prospecting rather than high-volume outbound.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting & Multi-Threading: Own a hand-picked list of Global 2000 target accounts. Conduct deep research on each account and initiate outbound communication via email, phone, and social media tailored to each company's specific situation—no spray-and-pray sequences.
Campaigns & Account-Based Marketing: Partner with Marketing to design 1:1 and 1:few campaigns for named accounts, including bespoke landing pages, tailored content, and sequences. Apply an account-based approach treating each target company as its own market.
Events & In-Person Programs: Plan and execute small, high-intent in-person programs such as executive dinners, roundtables, and regional meetups aimed at Global 2000 buying committees. Own conference and trade-show strategy: identify target-account attendees in advance, work the floor, and convert conversations into pipeline.
Creative Tactics: Pull in resources from Product, Security, Customer Success, and executives for single-account "surge" plays. Test unconventional channels including direct mail, gifting, warm intros via investors/advisors/customers, and open-source/developer-community engagement.
CRM & Reporting: Qualify leads and hand off sales-ready opportunities to Strategic Account Executives with full context on buying committees, signals, and competitive landscape. Maintain accurate CRM records (HubSpot & Salesforce) and track what's working across outbound, campaigns, and events.
Cloudsmith has already beaten JFrog and Sonatype head-to-head at Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 scale, with this year's two largest deals won against incumbents at household-name enterprises. This role is about turning that into a repeatable motion across the Global 2000.
Work Environment: Based in Northern Ireland or Republic of Ireland with regular travel for onsites with target accounts and industry events. The company is headquartered in Belfast with fully-equipped 24/7 office space. Many Cloudsmithers work remotely using Slack, Google Docs, Linear, and other collaboration tools. All-hands off-sites held twice yearly in Belfast.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an SDR, BDR, or ISR role, ideally selling or prospecting into complex technical buyers (software, cloud, DevOps, or security solutions)
- 2–4+ years of sales/prospecting experience, with exposure to enterprise or named-account motions a strong plus
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, sales prospecting tools, and web-based conferencing systems (Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce, Intercom, Zoom)
- Demonstrated success meeting pipeline/sales goals with a solid track record
- Familiarity with sales strategies including email sequences, cold calling, and social selling, plus a track record of going beyond them
- Tech-savvy with comfort engaging technical buyers and understanding DevOps, cloud, or CI/CD processes
- Curious, coachable, and eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Creative and resourceful; comfortable owning marketing-adjacent work (campaign ideation, event planning) beyond call and email volume
- Executive presence and genuine comfort engaging senior stakeholders (security leaders, VPs of Engineering, CTOs) at large enterprises
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be based in Northern Ireland or ROI with the right to work independently without requiring sponsorship
