Metriport is a healthcare technology company solving medical data exchange—one of the largest unsolved problems in US healthcare. The company connects healthcare providers to data sources, transforms raw unusable data into clean, actionable formats, and enables clinicians to access complete patient records in seconds instead of weeks. With $28.4M in funding from top-tier VCs (Matrix, ARTIS, Y Combinator), 100+ customers including Amazon One Medical and Circle Medical, and multi-million dollar ARR, Metriport is building the infrastructure layer healthcare will run on.
As the first dedicated Finance hire on the BizOps team, you will manage the entire financial stack end-to-end with full ownership and autonomy. This is not a traditional FP&A role—you will own the integrity of the books, efficiency of revenue collection, automation of internal financial operations, and serve as the professional face of Metriport to accountants, investors, vendors, and customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end management of banking, invoicing, bookkeeping, and FP&A
- Month-end and year-end close, ensuring books are pristine by the 15th of each month
- RevOps support for the Sales team, including system integrations (HubSpot to Stripe, Stripe to QuickBooks)
- Tracking and improving collections rate, budget vs. actuals, and departmental purchase request turnaround
- Leading board-level financial reviews and troubleshooting technical integrations
The company operates with minimal bureaucracy, high autonomy, and a team of mostly former founders and YC alumni. Leaders are in the office six days a week, and the team is expected to be available six days a week—not for hours counting, but because there's always more work to do when revolutionizing healthcare. REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in Investment Banking, MBB Consulting, or high-growth startups (Seed to Series B)
- 2+ years of experience creating processes from scratch and improving existing processes in a professional setting
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related quantitative field
- Expert-level Excel and Google Sheets skills; PowerPoint skills that distill complex data into clear narratives
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and drive projects to completion without a playbook
- Based in San Francisco (or willing to relocate) with a 5-day-a-week in-office presence
- Low ego, high ownership mindset; comfort with ambiguity
BONUS:
- Experience automating workflows via Zapier or Python
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Brex, Ramp, Stripe, or CRMs
- Healthcare IT or Healthtech domain experience
