Port is an Agentic SDLC Platform that helps engineering teams build, govern, and operate the software development lifecycle in an AI-driven world. Following a $100M Series C funding round, the company is in a growth and global expansion phase.
The Strategic Engineer in the CEO's Office serves as a strategic bridge between Port's product organization and go-to-market teams, reporting to the Field CTO. This is a 0→1 execution role focused on the company's highest-priority challenges. Each quarter, the position aligns to specific company KPIs and is responsible for building required foundations from scratch: processes, tooling, content, and enablement infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building product demos and technical assets on the Port platform
- Partnering with marketing to produce positioning content
- Meeting with customers and prospects to gather feedback and validate direction
- Representing Port at industry conferences and events
- Conducting market research to inform investment decisions
- Designing and standing up new internal processes, programs, and tooling
The scope is intentionally broad and evolves with company priorities. Success means owning strategic initiatives end-to-end from definition through execution and handover, proactively identifying market signals and initiating projects independently, setting a high quality bar, operating confidently with customers and prospects, becoming a recognized expert on both the Port platform and broader market, and moving quickly across changing priorities. The clearest success signal is that initiatives move faster, land better, and reach higher standards than they would have otherwise.
This role suits someone who thrives on breadth, operates with speed and autonomy, and is motivated by working at the center of the business.
