Carda Health seeks a Strategic Account Manager to own and manage the company's most important health plan client relationships post-contract. You will serve as the executive-facing lead for a portfolio of National Health Plans, responsible for proving Carda's value, delivering against contract expectations, and driving expansion revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage health plan partner relationships across clinical, network, care management, and Stars stakeholders. Serve as Carda's day-to-day executive lead, running the operating rhythm including monthly performance reviews, quarterly business reviews, and annual value summaries.
Track referral and enrollment volume, conversion, engagement, and completion against contract expectations. Identify and build cases for expansion into new markets, member populations, and product lines. Expand Carda's offering through regional expansion, upsell of additional product lines (ICR), and identification of new opportunities aligned with client goals (cost reduction, care quality improvement, engagement, STARS measures).
Build multi-threaded relationships with executive sponsors (CMO, VP Population Health, Network, P&L Owner, etc.). Serve as the primary point of contact for health plans across the company, communicating strategy and execution ideas to senior leadership. Lead QBRs and executive check-ins centered on performance. Act as the single point of accountability for partner escalations.
Turn data into compelling value narratives. Query internal databases and reporting tools to pull aggregate outcomes (enrollment, completion, functional capacity, readmissions, patient experience). Build ROI and impact narratives tailored to each partner type. Partner with Clinical and Analytics to produce publishable case studies and reference stories.
Drive expansion revenue across the book: new sites, service lines, populations, and initiatives. Work with the Head of Enterprise Sales on handoff, account planning, and joint expansion pursuits. Lead renewal strategy and pricing conversations with Finance.
Coordinate cross-functionally, bringing the voice of the partner to Clinical, Operations, Product, and Finance. Translate partner needs into prioritized requests. Coordinate implementation of new initiatives (data feeds, SFTP/referral workflows, reporting changes) with Product and Ops.
Maintain a performance scorecard for every partner against contracted terms and SLAs. Prepare renewals 6–9 months ahead with documented value summaries. Keep Salesforce account records, health scores, and renewal dates current.
Requirements:
- 3+ years in customer success, account management, or client partnerships, with 2+ years managing enterprise-level accounts
- Direct experience managing a health plan relationship (Medicare Advantage)
- Ability to plan, deliver, and report to senior leadership with minimal assistance
- Comfort pulling and analyzing data yourself and turning it into executive-ready narratives

- Track record of owning renewals and driving measurable expansion revenue
- Ability to move quickly and complete projects faster than peers while maintaining best-in-class quality
- Cross-functional collaboration experience with Sales on identifying opportunities and creating expansion plans
- Executive presence: demonstrated experience leading QBRs with plan CMOs or health system CFOs
- Working knowledge of Star Ratings, HEDIS, total cost of care, and MA care management
- Analytical mindset with proven track record of obtaining information, diagnosing, and identifying business opportunities quickly and efficiently
Preferred:
- Experience in digital health, value-based care, or cardiology/chronic condition programs
- Experience working with Major National Health Plans
