As a Strategic Account Manager 3, you will own the full commercial relationship with a portfolio of complex, highly regulated financial institutions including global banks, hedge funds, asset managers, and energy firms. You will manage accounts across Italy and Germany, requiring fluency in German.
Your responsibilities include:
• Full end-to-end account ownership: delivery outcomes, commercial performance, executive relationships, and long-term strategic growth across your portfolio
• Account health monitoring and risk identification by reading ticket patterns, stakeholder signals, and adoption data; building intervention plans independently
• Executive business review design and delivery, leading strategic conversations about compliance posture, regulatory risk, control maturity, and platform value
• Renewal ownership and churn forecasting: building retention strategy, leading negotiations, closing deals, and accurately forecasting ARR churn risk with mitigation plans
• Expansion identification and commercial execution, driving inbound expansion deals independently and collaborating with Account Executives
• Delivery follow-through and client communication ownership, ensuring commitments are tracked and fulfilled, translating technical updates into actionable client language
• Escalation management and operational accountability across the full portfolio with minimal manager involvement
You will work with clients building or strengthening unified controls frameworks that integrate communications surveillance, trade surveillance, compliant archiving, and policy management into a single control system. This is a hybrid position based in the Milan office.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Deep working knowledge of enterprise compliance technology and unified controls frameworks, specifically how communications surveillance, trade surveillance, compliant archiving, and policy management converge at regulated financial institutions
• Understanding of the financial services regulatory environment and regulatory obligations driving client demand (communications monitoring, trade reconstruction, archiving mandates) across global banking, hedge fund, asset management, and energy sectors
• Demonstrated experience with multi-stakeholder account management across regulated financial institutions, navigating complex organizational structures (Heads of Surveillance, compliance analysts, technology teams, operations teams) and managing both executive-level and working-level relationships simultaneously
• Commercial lifecycle management experience for enterprise SaaS: full renewal and expansion cycle ownership including retention strategy, churn forecasting, negotiation, close, and pipeline development
• Escalation management and operational accountability experience, with ability to own ticket triage, escalation, and resolution end-to-end with minimal manager involvement
• Fluency in German (required for accounts in Italy and Germany)
