As a Strategic Account Manager 3, you will own the full commercial relationship with a portfolio of complex, global financial services clients including banks, hedge funds, asset managers, and energy firms. This is a senior individual contributor role with significant autonomy and scope.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full end-to-end account ownership: delivery outcomes, commercial performance, executive relationships, and long-term strategic growth across your portfolio
- Renewal management: own all renewals, build retention strategy, lead negotiations, and close deals independently
- Risk identification and mitigation: assess account health across commercial, operational, and relationship dimensions; forecast ARR churn risk and develop intervention plans
- Executive engagement: design and deliver strategic business reviews (QBRs/EBRs) focused on compliance posture, regulatory risk, and control maturity—not product updates
- Expansion pipeline: drive inbound expansion deals in collaboration with Account Executives
- Escalation ownership: triage, manage, and resolve complex multi-workstream escalations end-to-end with minimal manager involvement
- Cross-functional collaboration: build relationships with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to accelerate resolution and drive customer success
You will need deep expertise in enterprise compliance technology, financial services regulatory frameworks (communications monitoring, trade reconstruction, archiving mandates), and multi-stakeholder account management in regulated environments. You must understand how clients evaluate and mature their compliance posture over time and navigate complex organizational structures involving Heads of Surveillance, compliance analysts, technology teams, and operations teams.
This hybrid role is based in the Virginia/Washington office and requires the ability to think strategically and execute operationally, often in the same day.
