Salary: USD 175,000 - 210,000 / annual
Freenome is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to drive programmatic adoption of early cancer detection screening in health systems across the South region. This remote role reports to the Vice President of Sales and requires 50% travel within the assigned geography.
You will become a subject matter expert in Freenome's liquid biopsy technology and digital health platform, representing the company to C-suite executives, physicians, medical directors, hospital administrators, and lab leadership. Your core responsibilities include identifying and closing contracts with health systems and institutions, negotiating complex deals, and ensuring successful implementation of Freenome's tests through collaboration with internal implementation and medical affairs teams.
Key activities include: building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; articulating the value proposition of industry-leading diagnostic tests; partnering with Medical Affairs to educate health systems; negotiating and closing institutional contracts; collaborating on EMR and UX tool implementation; capturing customer interactions and market intelligence in CRM systems; providing direct feedback to Product and Marketing teams; and developing strategic plans for acquiring and retaining health system partnerships.
You will also monitor competitive activity, identify market opportunities, and present findings to commercial leadership. Success is measured on quality and quantity of contracts closed in accordance with company standards.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, Science, or related field; 10+ years of medical sales experience with 3+ years selling complex diagnostics solutions to health systems; proven track record closing and implementing institutional contracts; understanding of healthcare systems, reimbursement pathways, and screening protocols; strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills; excellent presentation abilities; CRM and data-driven account planning experience; ability to sell technically complex products; valid driver's license.
Preferred: experience with liquid biopsy early cancer detection; demonstrated success promoting digital health solutions; background selling disruptive technologies that improve standard of care.
