Wagmo is a VC-backed pet health company that provides employer-sponsored pet benefits and insurance. This Strategic Account Executive role owns a defined list of 25–50 Fortune 500 named accounts through their complete lifecycle: prospecting, closing, onboarding, enrollment, expansion, and renewal.
You will be the single accountable relationship owner for each account, responsible not just for signing deals but for ensuring they grow into durable, multi-year partnerships. This is full-lifecycle ownership—not a hand-off role. You'll build strategic account plans for every named account, run complex multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles involving HR, Benefits, Total Rewards, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and broker/consultant partners. You'll partner closely with Wagmo's Implementation and Technical teams on onboarding while remaining the executive point of contact.
Key responsibilities include owning enrollment outcomes post-launch, proactively identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities, leading the renewal motion, forecasting across three concurrent pipelines (new bookings, enrollment/adoption health, renewal/expansion), and collaborating cross-functionally with Implementation, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Finance.
You'll need 7+ years of B2B/SaaS sales experience with proven success owning named strategic account lists end-to-end on the same accounts—not primarily new-logo hunting. You should have demonstrated success selling to and maintaining long-term relationships with Fortune 500 HR, Benefits, and Total Rewards leaders, experience working with brokers/consultants in benefits or similarly regulated, cyclical buying environments, and a track record of defending and growing revenue at renewal. Strong executive presence, excellent forecasting discipline, CRM/account-planning tool proficiency (Salesforce, Gainsight, etc.), and top-performer recognition (President's Club, Rep of the Year) are expected.
This role offers the opportunity to own a career-defining book of Fortune 500 relationships, shape how the largest employers deliver pet benefits, and see the full arc of impact from prospecting through multi-year renewal in a rapidly growing, high-performance startup environment.
