Cohesity is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to own and grow a named enterprise territory in Germany. This is a senior individual contributor role for a proven enterprise seller who thrives in complex, competitive environments focused on AI-powered data security and cyber resilience solutions.
You will drive net-new logo acquisition and expand existing enterprise accounts by positioning Cohesity's mission-critical infrastructure for cyber resilience and data security. The role requires disciplined territory planning, strong executive presence, and the ability to navigate multi-stakeholder buying groups while consistently closing large, strategic deals.
Key responsibilities include: owning a defined enterprise territory with annual quota accountability; building and managing a robust pipeline of complex enterprise transactions from prospecting through close; penetrating large enterprise organizations and engaging C-level and VP-level decision makers; developing compelling business cases connecting Cohesity's AI-powered data security platform to customer outcomes across security, resilience, compliance, and cost optimization; partnering with sales engineers, channel partners, and internal stakeholders on coordinated account strategies; maintaining accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene in Salesforce; and leveraging AI and productivity tools to streamline workflows.
Ideal candidates have demonstrated experience selling into Information Security and Cybersecurity teams with strong understanding of enterprise security frameworks and compliance standards. You should have extensive success in quota-carrying, customer-facing enterprise sales roles selling complex technology solutions, with proven ability to navigate multiple stakeholders and complex sales cycles. Knowledge of data security architectures, ransomware resilience, and competitive landscape is essential. Experience with Cohesity solutions (DataProtect, DataHawk, SmartFiles), NetBackup, Backup Exec, and InfoScale is strongly preferred. You must have a strong track record of negotiating and closing high-value enterprise contracts, executive-level communication skills, experience working with channel partners, and willingness to travel within your assigned territory. Bachelor's degree in Business or related field (or equivalent experience) and professional English proficiency required.
