Salary: USD 160,000 - 180,000 / annual
Alamar Biosciences is seeking a Stock Administrator to manage equity compensation programs and ensure compliance with public-company requirements. Reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller, this role is central to maintaining equity data integrity, supporting financial reporting and audits, and delivering a positive employee equity experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Equity Administration & Controls: Administer all equity compensation programs (stock options, RSUs, and ESPP) in accordance with equity plans, grant agreements, and company policies. Process equity transactions in the Equity Edge (E*TRADE) system, including grants, vesting, exercises, cancellations, and forfeitures. Maintain accurate equity records and documentation to support SOX controls and audit requirements. Liaise with Computershare and reconcile transfer agent data.
Financial Reporting & Public Company Support: Partner with the Controller's team on equity-related accounting, reporting, and reconciliations for monthly, quarterly, and annual close. Prepare equity schedules and roll forwards for financial statements, footnote disclosures, and audit requests. Support SEC filings and disclosures (proxy equity tables, share-based compensation, Forms 4 coordination). Assist with valuation inputs and ASC 718 tracking.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Payroll on taxable equity events, withholdings, and reporting. Partner with Legal on equity plan administration, insider compliance, and documentation. Work with HR and Talent teams to execute new hire, promotion, refresh, and off-cycle equity grants.
Employee & Executive Support: Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for employee and executive equity questions regarding vesting, exercises, and termination treatment. Support senior leadership and Board-level equity reporting. Develop clear, employee-friendly equity communications and reference materials.
Process Improvement & Scale: Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen controls, efficiency, and scalability in a post-IPO environment. Support equity system enhancements, integrations, and vendor management.
Requirements:
Required: 3–6+ years of experience in stock administration, equity compensation, or related finance/HR role. CEP or equivalent credential. Experience supporting equity administration in a public company. Strong understanding of stock options, RSUs, and ESPP offerings; familiarity with ASC 718 concepts. Hands-on experience with Equity Edge administration platform (E*TRADE). Exceptional attention to detail and experience handling confidential financial data. Strong Excel skills and ability to reconcile complex equity data.
Preferred: Experience in biotech, life sciences, or high-growth public companies. Exposure to SOX, audits, and SEC reporting processes.
Key Competencies: Financial accuracy and strong internal controls mindset. Ability to partner effectively with Finance, Legal, HR, and Payroll. Clear communication of complex equity topics to non-experts. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, post-IPO environment.
