The Statutory Reporting & Compliance Manager owns statutory reporting and regulatory compliance for Legora's group legal entities. You will be responsible for local accounts of assigned entities and the full calendar of statutory and regulatory deliverables. As the company enters new markets, you will assess and stand up local reporting, registration, and compliance requirements from scratch. Key responsibilities include: **Statutory Accounts & Local Books**: Coordinate preparation of statutory financial statements for assigned legal entities under local legislation (e.g., Swedish K3, UK FRS 102, German HGB, French PCG). Prepare and file annual reports, supplemental statements, and required exhibits with local authorities. Own completeness and accuracy of local books, including statutory adjustments and account reconciliations. **Regulatory Compliance & Market Expansion**: Own the group compliance calendar across all entities. Monitor legislative and regulatory changes, assess impact, and implement required accounting process and control changes. Assess requirements for new markets ahead of expansion and stand up compliant local processes. Coordinate with local advisors and consultants. **Controls, Audit & Documentation**: Act as primary contact for local authorities on audits, legislation, and ad-hoc requests. Develop, implement, and monitor internal control policies and procedures. Ensure consistent compliance. You set the standard for how statutory work is done at Legora—the processes, controls, and documentation. You are the central point of contact for advisors and local authorities. This role suits someone who thrives on structure, deadlines, and being the expert on what is due, where, and why. Required: 7+ years in statutory accounting, audit, or financial reporting with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of entity-level statutory deliverables. Experience managing statutory compliance across multiple countries. Strong knowledge of statutory reporting in at least one jurisdiction (Swedish K3 preferred). Track record working with external advisors and local authorities. Experience implementing or improving accounting processes and controls. Highly organized and deadline-driven. Clear written communication. Fluent English. Nice to have: Multi-entity international group experience spanning Europe, North America, and APAC. Familiarity with multiple statutory frameworks. CPA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification. Experience standing up statutory compliance in new markets. SaaS/software industry experience. Experience using AI tools in finance workflows.
