This role is a State Enterprise Account Executive focused on selling Verkada's enterprise security platform to state government agencies in Florida. You will own a greenfield territory, responsible for sourcing and closing new business with state agencies while consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly sales quotas.
Key responsibilities include managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, building deep product knowledge, maintaining accurate pipeline forecasting, executing aggressive outbound activities (calls, emails, demos, trials), and serving as a trusted advisor to government customers and channel partners. You'll work closely with Customer Success teams to ensure smooth implementations and provide market feedback to product and engineering teams.
The ideal candidate brings 5-10+ years of quota-exceeding enterprise software sales experience, specifically selling to state government agencies. You must have demonstrated expertise in government procurement processes, RFI/RFP responses, security standards, and regulations. A track record of developing greenfield territories and adding net new logos is essential. You should have strong hunter mentality, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a BS/BA degree is strongly preferred.
