Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Staff Technical Recruiter to lead talent acquisition for its software engineering teams. You will be a key member of Anduril's recruiting team, responsible for sourcing, hiring, and managing talent as the company rapidly scales. This is a hybrid role based in either Seattle, WA or Costa Mesa, CA, with an expectation of 3 days per week in-office.
You will work hands-on with engineering leaders and individual contributors to define hiring needs, execute recruiting strategy, and build Anduril's world-class technical team. You will specialize in recruiting software engineers with robotics domain experience for small drone teams, working directly with hiring managers to understand requirements, source candidates, and close top-tier talent.
Key responsibilities include:
- Source, track, and maintain a high volume of candidates while communicating consistently with stakeholders
- Establish deep partnerships with business leaders to influence talent strategy and execute hiring deliverables
- Embed yourself into teams to understand product positioning, technical roadmap, and culture
- Develop strong pitches for the team and opportunity to close exceptional technical talent
- Track and analyze pipeline and performance data to identify opportunities and drive momentum
- Build recruiting strategies contributing to long-range company growth, implementing best practices around referrals and process improvements
- Act as a subject matter expert in prospecting techniques, tools, data extraction, process automation, and candidate management
- Conduct interviews with high interview-to-offer ratios, anticipating hiring manager preferences
- Engage passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, Boolean strings, referral campaigns, and SOBO outreach
- Provide consistent, positive candidate experience with proactive communication throughout the recruiting process
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience recruiting and sourcing for technical roles and closing top-tier engineering talent (startup/software experience preferred)
- Experience hiring candidates within robotics facets (computer vision, perception, motion planning, localization, mapping, etc.)
- 4+ years of client interaction experience, including working with Hiring Managers and Directors, taking new requirements, reviewing profiles, and updating pipeline progress
- Experience acting in a consultative manner where your guidance has led to improved outcomes and positive candidate experience, earning respect of peers and clients
- Strong understanding of technical skills and experience required for Engineering positions
- Clear and effective communication with candidates to understand motivation, drivers, and organizational fit
- Experience managing various candidate funnels and tracking progress throughout the recruitment process
- Working knowledge of applicant tracking and HRIS systems
- Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods
- Familiarity with a wide variety of sourcing avenues
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in startup, tech, and relevant domain experience (AAV, UAS, AUV, weapons, or related programs)
