As Staff Technical Data Architect for Integrations, you will own the technical architecture of Lighthouse's data ingestion and transformation systems. This is a high-impact individual contributor role spanning multiple engineering teams and domains. You will architect the systems that process millions of hotel reservations, tens of millions of prices, transactions, and other data points daily from hundreds of integrated systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own technical architecture of data systems and pipelines ingesting and transforming massive data volumes
- Gather requirements to realize product and technical vision for third-party data ingestion and processing
- Map current architecture, analyze gaps, and design future architecture to meet evolving requirements
- Build, test, maintain, support, and evolve data architecture across current and future systems
- Regularly dive deep into code, operational tooling, cloud resources, logs, monitoring, and data quality
- Proactively improve architecture and systems design; establish standards and best practices at scale
- Serve as trusted technical authority for data engineers, fostering excellence and high-quality work
- Collaborate with architects and leaders across engineering and product teams to improve organizational architecture maturity
- Embed AI strategy in Integrations architecture; identify, prioritize, and pilot AI initiatives across pipelines and engineering workflows
You bring strong hands-on data engineering background with deep experience in ETL/ELT, data pipelines, complex transformations, and data modeling. You have worked as a senior data engineer on various data architectures and pipelines at scale before transitioning to data architect roles. You have proven experience as a data architect at systems level, ideally across multiple teams, domains, or projects. Experience in data integration contexts—where robustness, reusable connectors, and ingestion frameworks matter—is essential.
