As a Staff Software Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across teams by designing and evolving large-scale systems and architectures for scalability, reliability, and maintainability. This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on shaping technical strategy and driving organizational engineering excellence. Key responsibilities include: - Leading the design and evolution of large-scale distributed systems and architectures to support long-term scalability, reliability, and maintainability - Defining and guiding technical vision and strategy across teams, aligning engineering efforts with product and organizational goals - Partnering with engineering and product leadership to shape technical priorities and influence roadmap decisions - Influencing technical direction across multiple teams through architecture, design patterns, code reviews, and best practices - Driving resolution of complex technical issues, root cause analysis, observability improvements, and systemic reliability initiatives - Leading technical-debt reduction and modernization efforts, including re-platforming strategies across teams - Championing adoption of AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering velocity, product quality, and business outcomes - Providing technical mentorship and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Support, QA, Design, Documentation, and Product Management Required qualifications include a B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, 8+ years of professional software engineering with demonstrated technical leadership on complex cross-team initiatives, strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, design patterns), deep experience designing large-scale distributed and high-performance systems, and hands-on production experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure. Preferred qualifications include .NET full-stack and API development experience, proficiency in Rust, C#, or JavaScript, experience with microservices architectures, Docker, and Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure and serverless architectures, modern authentication mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML), strong testing, CI/CD, observability, monitoring, and reliability engineering experience at scale, and expertise in secure coding practices and threat modeling.
