Deepgram is the leading platform for Voice AI, providing real-time APIs for speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and voice agents at scale. The company has processed over 50,000 years of audio and serves 200,000+ developers and 1,300+ organizations including Twilio, Cloudflare, and Vapi.
You will own the growth of the developer self-serve funnel—from first touch to committed customer—and build the product that drives it. This is a founding-era role where you define what good looks like rather than executing someone else's vision. You report to the VP of Self-Serve and partner daily with engineering, design, developer relations, and the product analyst who owns measurement.
Key responsibilities include: owning self-serve funnel metrics and the experiments that move them; building product across onboarding, console, and activation paths; standing up the complete system your area runs on (business rhythms, data-driven optimization, experimentation platform); executing a weekly rhythm of shipping, measuring, and iterating on hypotheses; and driving cross-team work with developer relations, marketing, sales, and analytics.
You thrive on being early and building practices from scratch rather than inheriting them. You have strong, evidence-backed opinions about product-led growth and let data prove you wrong. You build things yourself—prototyping, writing SQL, standing up landing pages, shipping fixes. You reason at the altitude of a developer making integration choices, increasingly with AI agents in the loop.
Required: mandatory product-led growth experience owning a self-serve funnel metric (activation, conversion, retention, or acquisition) that you moved in a product real users adopted without sales. Track record as an excellent PM who sets direction, decides under uncertainty, ships, and shows outcomes. Technical enough to prototype, reason about engineering tradeoffs, and do your own analysis. Proven ability to stand up complete systems from scratch. Genuine AI fluency demonstrated through what you produce—you've integrated AI into your workflow past the first demo, verify outputs, and have informed opinions on limitations. Strong judgment to distrust numbers reflexively and ask whether metrics are real or measurement artifacts. Clear communication with executives, leading with decisions and holding up under pushback.
Deepgram operates with an AI-first mindset where all team members actively use and experiment with advanced AI tools. The pace is rapid; expect your day-to-day work to evolve quickly. This role requires comfort with experimentation, adaptation, quick thinking, and continuous learning.
