Salary: USD 220,000 - 302,500 / annual

Faire is a technology wholesale platform connecting independent retailers globally with brands and products. The Discovery pillar's mission is to make it easy and delightful for retailers to find products their customers will love. This Staff Product Manager role owns product development of search algorithms, the largest discovery surface by order volume at Faire. You will develop and execute strategy to advance search algorithms to the next level. Key responsibilities include refining search query segment breakdowns, identifying improvement opportunities, and diagnosing root causes of search failures. You'll refine the suite of offline and online metrics to better understand retailer search experience and performance of each search system component. You'll evaluate tradeoffs between technical solutions across velocity, scale, cost, and modularity, working closely with engineering, data science, design, and operations leaders. You'll make decisions alongside company founders and the CEO, directly impacting how small businesses discover products to sell in their stores. Required qualifications: 7+ years in product or technical roles at high-growth tech startups (search algorithm experience is a bonus). You must have experience building high-scale products through state-of-the-art engineering and data science, regularly using ML/AI to solve business problems with knowledge of recent advancements. You're an exceptionally fast learner with natural curiosity and intellectual horsepower to deeply understand new topics quickly. You're relentlessly resourceful, finding ways to execute with limited information and ambiguity. You're a creative problem-solver excelling at identifying unintuitive solutions to tough problems. You're passionate, optimistic, and care deeply about creating the best customer experience. Faire offers hybrid work (3 days/week in office: Tuesdays, Thursdays, plus one flex day) with flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks annually.
