Inspiren is building the most complete and connected ecosystem in senior living, combining compassionate care with technology to improve outcomes for residents, families, and staff. The company was founded by Michael Wang, a former Green Beret turned cardiothoracic nurse, and uses integrated hardware, embedded systems, and analytics to help senior living communities make informed clinical and operational decisions.
You will own Inspiren's connected system of systems as Staff Product Manager for Perception Hardware & Systems. This is a deeply technical, high-ownership role sitting at the intersection of hardware engineering, embedded systems, software, and data. You will define system-level requirements and trade-offs across all current hardware devices and future product lines, ensuring communities experience a seamless, clinically effective safety system.
Key responsibilities include: owning the system of systems architecture and ensuring all devices collaborate, communicate, and fail gracefully together; building a deep, data-informed understanding of operators, community executives, residents, families, and frontline staff to drive requirements and prioritization; leading discovery on new and existing hardware types by evaluating sensing technologies (cameras, radar, thermal, BLE beacons, audio), assessing technical feasibility and regulatory constraints, and connecting recommendations to business expansion opportunities; defining success criteria from PRD through concept, EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production phases; serving as connective tissue between hardware, embedded, software, AI, and implementation teams; and owning the end-to-end implementation experience including software integration.
You will report to the Head of Product and have high visibility across the organization. Your work directly affects resident safety, and your decisions will shape how Inspiren's system of systems evolves. The role requires fluency with hardware engineers and embedded systems specialists, ability to review schematics and debug embedded issues, and strong technical foundation in perception and sensing technologies. You will also build detailed cost models for multi-device hardware networks, including COGS analysis and gross margin targets, to inform trade-off decisions.
