Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager for OpenTelemetry Experience to own the end-to-end journey of helping users and AI agents instrument workloads and send OpenTelemetry data to Grafana Cloud. The role focuses on making Grafana Cloud the easiest and most trusted destination for OpenTelemetry workloads by reducing complexity, uncertainty, and failure points in the adoption journey. You will define a coherent experience across multiple instrumentation paths: OpenTelemetry SDKs, automatic instrumentation (Beyla, SDK injection), and client-side Collectors. Your scope includes SDK onboarding and configuration, automatic instrumentation experiences, Collector deployment, authentication workflows, troubleshooting missing or unhealthy telemetry, and validation signals for data quality. A key aspect of this role is designing for AI agents as first-class participants in the instrumentation experience. You'll ensure that configuration requirements, errors, and validation signals are structured and actionable by both humans and machines, enabling coding agents to implement, configure, and verify instrumentation safely. You will partner closely with Engineering, Design, UX, and GTM teams to ensure telemetry arrives with the quality, context, and structure needed for meaningful observability outcomes. As a Staff-level PM, you'll develop vision and strategy for your product domain, own the roadmap, conduct market research, and serve as the primary expert and advocate for OpenTelemetry experiences at Grafana. Grafana Labs is a 100% remote company with 1,600+ team members across 40+ countries, backed by leading investors including Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners. The company serves 7,000+ customers including Anthropic, Bloomberg, NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Salesforce.
