Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own the end-to-end OpenTelemetry experience for Grafana Cloud. You'll define the strategy and roadmap for helping users and AI agents instrument workloads and successfully send OpenTelemetry data to Grafana Cloud, making it the easiest and most trusted destination for observability.
Your mission is to reduce uncertainty, complexity, and failure points in the OpenTelemetry adoption journey. You'll design coherent experiences across multiple instrumentation paths: OpenTelemetry SDKs, automatic instrumentation (Beyla, SDK injection), and client-side Collectors. A key focus is treating coding agents as first-class participants in the experience, ensuring instrumentation options, configuration, errors, and validation signals are discoverable and actionable by both humans and machines.
Scope includes: SDK onboarding and configuration; automatic instrumentation experiences; Collector deployment and connectivity; guidance for choosing the right instrumentation approach; workflows for agent-driven implementation and verification; troubleshooting missing or unhealthy telemetry; validation signals confirming data quality and usability; and transitions from data ingestion to activating Grafana Cloud observability solutions.
You'll be the primary advocate and expert in this domain, owning product vision, strategy, roadmap, and market research. You'll collaborate with Grafana leadership on product goals and serve as the bridge connecting Engineering, Design, UX, and GTM. Strong communication is essential in this 100% remote, globally distributed environment. You'll partner closely with teams across the observability platform to ensure telemetry arrives with the quality, context, and structure needed for meaningful observability outcomes.
