Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager for OpenTelemetry Experience to own the end-to-end journey of helping users and AI agents instrument workloads and send OpenTelemetry data to Grafana Cloud. The role focuses on making Grafana Cloud the easiest and most trusted destination for OpenTelemetry workloads by reducing complexity, uncertainty, and failure points in the adoption journey.
You will define a coherent experience across multiple instrumentation paths: OpenTelemetry SDKs, automatic instrumentation (Beyla, SDK injection), and client-side Collectors. Your scope includes SDK onboarding and configuration, automatic instrumentation experiences, Collector deployment, authentication workflows, guidance for choosing the right approach, coding-agent integration for safe instrumentation implementation, troubleshooting unhealthy telemetry, and validation signals for both humans and machines.
A key aspect of this role is designing for AI agents as first-class participants in the instrumentation experience. You'll ensure that instrumentation options, configuration requirements, errors, and validation signals are structured and actionable by both developers and coding agents. Success extends beyond initial data ingestion—telemetry must arrive with the quality, context, and structure needed for meaningful observability outcomes.
You will partner with teams across Application Observability, Kubernetes, and other observability solutions to ensure seamless transitions from data collection to activation of appropriate Grafana Cloud features. As a Staff PM, you'll develop vision and strategy for your product domain, own the roadmap and market research, and serve as the primary advocate and expert. You'll communicate effectively with globally distributed, 100% remote teams and bridge Engineering, Design, UX, and GTM functions.
