Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own the end-to-end OpenTelemetry experience for Grafana Cloud. You'll define how users and AI agents instrument workloads and send OpenTelemetry data to Grafana Cloud, making it the easiest and most trusted destination for observability. Your mission is to reduce uncertainty, complexity, and failure points in the OpenTelemetry adoption journey. You'll design coherent experiences across multiple instrumentation paths: OpenTelemetry SDKs, automatic instrumentation (Beyla, SDK injection), and client-side Collectors. A key focus is treating AI coding agents as first-class participants—ensuring instrumentation options, configuration, errors, and validation signals are discoverable and actionable by both humans and machines. Scope includes: SDK onboarding and configuration; automatic instrumentation experiences; Collector deployment and connectivity; guidance for choosing the right instrumentation approach; workflows for agents to implement and verify instrumentation safely; troubleshooting unhealthy telemetry; validation signals confirming data quality and correct attribution; and transitions from data ingestion to activating Grafana Cloud observability solutions. You'll partner with teams across Application Observability, Kubernetes monitoring, and other domains to ensure telemetry arrives with the quality, context, and structure needed for meaningful observability outcomes. As a Staff PM, you'll develop vision and strategy for your product domain, own the roadmap and market research, and serve as the primary advocate and expert. You'll communicate effectively with globally distributed, 100% remote teams and bridge Engineering, Design, UX, and GTM functions. Strong technical proficiency and proactive communication are essential.
