LiveKit is seeking an experienced Staff Product Manager to lead its Product-Led Growth (PLG) squad. The company builds infrastructure for voice-driven AI computing, powering applications for OpenAI, xAI, Salesforce, Spotify, and thousands of developers globally, facilitating billions of calls annually.
You will own PLG end-to-end: from developer awareness through onboarding, activation, and scaling into production workloads. Your responsibilities span product surfaces, marketing collaboration, and cross-functional influence across engineering, design, analytics, and support teams.
Key focus areas include: growing the developer population through multiple channels (including AI tool integrations); closing the gap between signup and first real workload; identifying and supporting accounts finding traction early; driving platform depth by making advanced features (agent hosting, inference, observability) natural early adoption paths; and establishing measurable operating metrics for platform health reviewed weekly rather than quarterly.
You'll be the voice of self-serve developers—tens of thousands monthly interact with the product without direct contact—translating their experience into roadmap priorities. You'll work closely with the data team to instrument and operate a metrics system that reveals population health trends in weeks.
The role requires 8+ years in product management at senior/staff level, ideally with growth, activation, or retention ownership at developer-facing or usage-based products. You need real PLG experience where the product drives acquisition through expansion, backed by experimentation and instrumentation. You must be comfortable moving usage metrics (not just signups), technical enough to earn developer trust (CLI fluency, serious technical discussions), quantitatively rigorous, and skilled at cross-functional influence in a high-autonomy engineering environment. Strong communication—from board strategy to technical depth—is essential. Comfort with ambiguity and fast execution without perfect information is required.
Nice-to-have: prior growth/PLG ownership at developer tools, APIs, or infrastructure companies.
