Addepar is a global data and AI platform serving 1,400+ firms managing nearly $9 trillion in assets across investment operations. The company unifies portfolio, market, and client data to deliver AI-powered insights within investment and client workflows.
You will lead the Files Platform, a critical infrastructure layer touching nearly every workflow at Addepar—from client reporting and alternatives document lineage to collaboration with external parties and audit trails. As Addepar scales with large RIAs, family offices, banks, and alternatives-heavy institutions, document management has become a core differentiator for client trust and platform value.
Addepar is replatforming file management onto an enterprise content partner (Box), creating a foundation for stronger search, metadata, permissions, sharing, and workflow capabilities. In this role, you own what comes next: transforming that foundation into an intelligent document workflow layer serving clients, internal teams, and downstream product surfaces.
You will shape commercial and technical strategy around a major partner integration, deciding where Addepar should leverage vendor capabilities versus where to build differentiated product, workflow, and API surfaces. On the intelligence side, you'll define how capabilities like document summarization, auto-classification, content-based search, and workflow automation can make file management meaningfully smarter for enterprise users while maintaining auditability and permissioning controls.
Key responsibilities include owning product strategy end-to-end from migration completion through next-generation capabilities; driving product discovery across user groups (advisors, operations, end clients, API consumers, internal teams) and translating findings into a prioritized roadmap; aligning multiple product and engineering teams around a unified Files vision; owning the roadmap for a substantial product area balancing migration work, urgent client needs, platform foundations, technical dependencies, compliance requirements, and strategic opportunities; and delivering a modern files experience with improvements to search, filtering, sharing, and metadata organization.
This is a cross-functional role requiring alignment across engineering, design, security, legal, and client-facing teams around a shared vision for how files work at Addepar.
