Brex is seeking a Staff Product Manager for Expenses to lead the strategy and execution of enterprise expense management capabilities. In this role, you will own the end-to-end product strategy across documentation, policy, compliance, approvals, substantiation, audit, and accounting readiness—transforming complex enterprise workflows into an intelligent, unified system.
You will align specialized product teams across Engineering, Design, Risk, Compliance, Accounting, and Go-To-Market functions. Your responsibilities include defining systems, data models, configurations, and controls that complex enterprises require; leveraging AI and automation to eliminate routine work and surface meaningful exceptions; and partnering with Design to make sophisticated workflows intuitive.
Key ownership areas include adoption metrics, workflow completion, manual-work reduction, close speed, retention, and software revenue. You will drive cross-functional influence to ensure product capabilities support enterprise sales and customer success outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings a track record of leading complex enterprise workflow or systems products, with strong technical fluency in backend systems, data models, integrations, and configurable product architecture. You should have experience supporting extensive customer permutations without sacrificing usability, and the ability to unite multiple domains under one cohesive strategy. Expense management experience is preferred; accounting, ERP, procurement, compliance, or adjacent enterprise-software experience can substitute.
This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, Seattle, or New York, requiring a minimum of three coordinated days in the office per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), with up to four weeks per year of fully remote work flexibility.
