Brex is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the strategy for enterprise expense management. In this role, you'll own the end-to-end product vision for a complex system that unifies documentation, policy, compliance, approvals, substantiation, audit, and ERP readiness across the expense lifecycle. You will align specialized product teams across Engineering, Design, Risk, Compliance, Accounting, and GTM to build an intelligent system serving employees, managers, finance teams, and accountants. The core challenge: processing individual expenses is commoditized, but managing expenses across large enterprises with distributed cards, risk controls, policy enforcement, approval routing, and audit preparation is genuinely complex. Key responsibilities include defining systems, data models, configurations, and controls that complex enterprises require; leveraging AI and automation to eliminate routine work and surface meaningful exceptions; partnering with Design to make sophisticated workflows intuitive; and owning adoption metrics, workflow completion, manual-work reduction, close speed, retention, and software revenue. You'll need a track record leading complex enterprise workflow or systems products, strong technical fluency in backend systems, data models, integrations, and configurable architecture, and the ability to unite multiple domains (compliance, accounting, risk, sales) under one coherent strategy. Experience with expense management, accounting, ERP, procurement, or adjacent enterprise software is preferred. The role requires strong cross-functional influence and judgment about where AI should remove work versus where human review matters. Based in San Francisco, Seattle, or New York with hybrid flexibility (minimum three coordinated days in office per week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday). Up to four weeks per year of fully remote work available.
