Brex is a leading intelligent finance platform serving tens of thousands of companies globally with corporate cards, banking, spend management, and travel software. The Embedded product line is one of Brex's fastest-growing channels, bringing card programs into financial software and workflows that customers already use.
As Staff Product Manager for Embedded, you will lead the next phase of this business line. You'll own the multi-year strategy for the Embedded API and partner platform, with the goal of unlocking 10x growth and expanding financial capabilities across the ecosystem.
This is a broad, commercially accountable staff individual contributor role spanning Product, Card Infrastructure, APIs, and Business Development. Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the multi-year strategy for the Embedded API and partner platform
- Prioritizing partner segments, workflows, and financial capabilities where Brex can win
- Leading partner discovery, executive pitches, solution design, and technical planning
- Converting partner needs into reusable APIs, tooling, and integration patterns rather than bespoke solutions
- Aligning Card Infrastructure, API Engineering, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Business Development, and GTM around reliable, scalable launches
- Leveraging AI to simplify developer experience and accelerate time-to-production
- Making disciplined tradeoffs about commitments, deferrals, standardization, and declines
- Owning integration speed, reliability, launch rate, payment volume, revenue, and partner expansion
You'll need a track record of scaling API products, developer platforms, or API-led businesses. Strong technical fluency in APIs, data models, distributed systems, and architecture tradeoffs is essential. You should have credibility in partner discovery, executive pitches, and solution planning, plus commercial judgment connecting product roadmaps to adoption and revenue. A founder or GM mindset and exceptional cross-functional communication are critical. Fintech, payments, issuing, or embedded-finance experience is preferred but not required.
The role is hybrid, based in Seattle, San Francisco, or New York, with a minimum of three coordinated days in-office per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday), plus up to four weeks of fully remote work annually.
